community newsIDAHO 2008Wednesday, 14 May 2008 Come rain or shine this Saturday we need to make some noise. It’s the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia and Brighton’s booked its part in the fight against intolerance. Head towards the Seafront and the Volks Railway this weekend and you’ll be greeted by performances from the Rainbow Chorus, the City of Brighton Gay Men's Chorus, a minute's 'noise', speeches by local political and community groups and a candle lighting ceremony. There will also be a spectacular display of 77 visually stunning sky lanterns with each lantern representing a country where the LGBT communities still face prison or execution. When the world often witnesses homophobia in silence this is our chance to make some noise. International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia |

I think it's a great idea for everyone to come together and support this on Saturday! Let's hope the weather is nice... though I'll be there even if it's raining! x
